PC Consultants continues to reflect its ongoing support and funding for the Island’s Basketball League and youth sport, something it has consistently provided every year, which started with support for the launch of ‘The Little 3 Basketball League’ in 2019.
This latest support from the company provides the leagues U16 team with the match kit needed to compete away from the Island to take part in the Solent Area Basketball Association (SABA) League, enabling them to play against some of the best U16 teams in the region. A basketball league established to nurture talent, develop skills and bring people together through basketball. The first time in over 15 years that the Island has been represented in this full court league and only made possible through the continued support of PC Consultants.
Uniquely, the kit provided for the full team of 12, from which 10 make up each match team with 5 on court at any one time is reversible. Something which required a higher level of funding but ensures that two different coloured strips are supported in one set, to avoid kit clashes with opponents at matches.
With 9 matches over the season, the Island U16 team is currently lying fifth, with 4 wins and 3 loses, which includes an impressive 58-14 scoreline against Gosport Gunners and a tightly fought 26-24 win against third place Superstar Sports Suns from Southampton.
