PC Consultants recently celebrated 30 years in business, hosting an event attended by over 190 guests at The Royal Yacht Squadron in Cowes. Guests enjoyed canapés and champagne in the beautiful setting of the Royal Yacht Squadron with its spectacular views over the Solent whilst island-based singer songwriter Beth Brookfield played two of her compositions to the gathered audience attending this landmark event, following a short presentation on the past 30 years as a business from Jonathan Thornton, CEO.
Adding to this celebration, the company is pleased to announce its acquisition of Wightbyte Computers which has itself been serving the island for over 20 years as a mobile computer repair, servicing and maintenance business. A move which further strengthens and reflects PC Consultants ability to support all those who rely on IT at home and in business who need a professional service from a company able to respond effectively to their needs and advances in technology, irrespective of size and industry. Something more important than ever before as more and more people choose to work from home or develop home based and online businesses.
Wightbyte Computers was founded in 2001 by Ian Luff and Graham Tutton and share with PC Consultants the core values of customer care and high service standards that has driven their success and made them popular with their clients across the island.
Ian Luff, Co-Founder of Wightbyte comments: “As a successful business with a loyal and long-established client base, we were quite particular whom we handed the reins to and as PC Consultants have built a very well-respected business on the Isle of Wight for 30 years, we felt that they are the perfect ‘fit’ for our customers to receive the same level of service and care that they have come to expect.” He adds: “We have been working closely with the team from PC Consultants to ensure a seamless transition. The only difference clients will see is a different person at their door or in the workshop.”
PC Consultants is independently owned with all employees living and based on the Island. Founded in 1993 by Mike Parsons and Sean Colson from who the company takes its name the company now works with hundreds of businesses and private clients, covering all business sectors and size of businesses across the Island, UK mainland and internationally. Today, the company is multi-award winning and employs 25 staff from its offices and dedicated workshops in Ryde.
